The Life Sciences Research Panel is operated by Ayesda Bio, an IQCS-audited research company. This year Ayesda Bio is also Gold Sponsor of the 2026 IQCS Quality Awards, and sponsor of the award for Interviewer Training and Development. Here is why that matters to you as a panel member.
What the IQCS is
The Interviewer Quality Control Scheme sets and independently audits the standards for interviewer-administered research in the UK. It covers how interviewers are recruited, trained, monitored and supported, and how research data is checked and handled.
What it means when you take part
- The people who contact and interview you are trained and supervised to an audited standard.
- Screening calls are recorded (with your permission) so quality can be checked — that protects you as well as the data.
- A proportion of interviews are back-checked, so a study's findings rest on genuine, accurately recorded answers.
- Your personal data is handled under audited procedures, in line with UK and EU data protection law.
Why it matters
In life sciences research, the quality of the data comes down to the quality of the conversation. When a study gets that wrong, no amount of analysis can rescue it — and the decisions built on it rest on less than they appear to. Working to an independent standard is how we make sure your time and expertise are put to good use.
