Who runs the Life Sciences Research Panel?

The panel is operated by Ayesda Bio Limited, a UK-based market research company specialising in data collection and fieldwork. Ayesda Bio is an MRS Company Partner and a member of EphMRA, and its fieldwork runs to IQCS-audited standards. Ayesda Bio’s founder and CEO, Volker Balk, is an individual member of ESOMAR. Full company details are in our legal notice.

Does it cost anything?

No. Registration is free and takes just a few minutes. There is no minimum commitment, and you can decline any invitation.

How much time does it take?

As much or as little as you like. Before a study there is usually a short screening call of five to ten minutes. Studies themselves – online surveys, telephone or video interviews – typically take 20 to 60 minutes. The length and the payment are always stated in the invitation.

Can I take part while I'm employed?

In almost all cases, yes. We ask about your professional experience and opinion – never for your employer's confidential information. A good rule of thumb: only share what you would say in a talk at a scientific conference. Some employers – particularly in the public sector, universities and research institutes, and some companies – have rules about paid outside work. If in doubt, check your employer's policy, or ask for your payment to be donated to charity instead.

Will the client know who I am?

No, not without your explicit consent. Your name and contact details are never passed to clients without your agreement. Professional profile details such as role, specialism or region may be used in anonymised or aggregated form to help clients understand the make-up of the panel.

How am I paid?

The amount is stated in every invitation. Depending on your country you can choose vouchers (such as Amazon), PayPal, bank transfer or a donation to charity. Payment is made within four weeks of the study finishing, or when the project completes.

Do I have to pay tax on the payment?

We can't give tax advice. Under our Panel Terms, you are responsible for declaring any payments to your local tax authority where the law requires it. If you are unsure, ask a tax adviser.

My data is processed in the UK – is it safe?

Yes. Ayesda Bio processes your data under UK GDPR, and if you are in the EU or EEA, the European Commission's adequacy decision for the UK means your data has the same level of protection as in the EU. Your data is never sold. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my data?

A short email to privacy@ayesdabio.com is enough. We remove you from all future invitations immediately and delete your personal data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Will I get lots of emails?

No. We only get in touch when a study genuinely matches your profile – no mass invitations, no advertising. You can unsubscribe at any time.
